In this tutorial you will learn how to create a nice digital flower from scratch. It is also a good tutorial to learn about blending mode and Filter effect!
Step 1: Create a new document, press D and X to reset your colors. Fill your background with Black 
Step 2: Press Ctrl-J to duplicate your Background and go to Filter>Render>Lens Flare and set Brightness about 130% and select Movie Prime 
Step 3: Go to Filter>Distort>Twirl and use a small angle 
Step 4: Select the Move Tool and click on the Show Transform Controls (on the top toolbar) and scale it down to a narrow line 
Press Enter to leave this mode Step 5: Duplicate this layer by pressing Ctrl-J and rotate it 90o by going to Edit>Transform>Rotate 90oCW 
Step 6: Change the blending mode of this layer to Screen to remove its black areas 
Step 7: Press Ctrl-E to merge this layer down. Now duplicate your new merged layer and rotate it 45o 
Step 8: Change the blending mode of this layer to Screen again and we will have a nice star!
Step 9: Merge this layer down with Layer 1 then go to Filter>Distort>Twirl and use a small angle like we did at step 3 
Step 10: Duplicate this layer and go to Filter>Distort>Twirl one more time and use a negative angle to twirl it in the opposite direction 
Step 11: Change its blending mode to Screen and now we have a beautiful flower! 
Step 12: Merge down this layer and go to Filter>Artistic>Plastic Wrap and use these settings: 
Our image will look like this: 
Step 13: Go to Layer>Flatten Image to merge all of your layer to one layer (Background layer) and go to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation to color it with these settings: 
And now our digital flower will look very attractive!
