Toxic smoke effect
285toxic_smoke_effect80x80 In this tutorial I will show you a simple way to create smoke effect on your photo. Sometimes it will turn out to be a horrible image!

Step 1: First open the picture you want to apply this effect. You can find a great one here

Step 2: Create a new layer and go to Filter > Render > Clouds

Go to Filter > Render > Difference Clouds and press Ctrl-F to repeat this effect about 8 times until you get something like this

Step 3: Change the Blending mode of this layer to Overlay. Although we can see the smoke but it is not impressive yet

Step 4: Now press Ctrl-J to duplicate this layer about 5 times and select all these layers, right click and choose Merge Layers

Step 5: Change the Blending Mode of this layer to Overlay again to see the result

The smoke looks more real and impressive now!

Good work. Simple yet effective. The only I can add is that you need to make sure you have your default colors selected when you make the clouds. x and d
