This tutorial will show you how to create a broken text effect with some basic techniques
Step 1: Create a new 800x800 pixels document with black background. Use the Honrizontal Type Tool(T) to type anything you want with #f8b106 textcolor
Step 2: Go to Filter > Noise > Add Noise and use the following settings: 
Step 3: Now go to Filter > Artistic > Paint Daubs and use these settings 
Press Ctrl-F to repeat "Paint Daubs" effect. After this step, we get: 
Step 4: Duplicate "small tutorials" layer by right click on that layer and select "Duplicate Layer" (or simply press Ctrl-J) Step 5: Double click on "small tutorials copy" layer to open up "Layer Style" dialog box. In the "Blend Mode" choose "Color Burn": 
Step 6: Press Ctrl-J two times to duplicate "small tutorials copy" layer into 2 new layers 
Step7: Merge all "small tutorials" layers by holding Ctrl button down and click on them. Right click and select "Merge Layers"
Step 8: Now apply some effects to our merged layer by double click on it. Use these settings + Inner Shadow:  + Outer Glow: 
+ Inner Glow: 
+ Bevel and Emboss: 
+Texture ( in Bevel and Emboss): choose "Clouds" Pattern
