This tutorial will demonstrate how to use layer style effects to create a beautiful text, in this case a neon light text
Step 1: To begin, create a new document with black background and use the Horizontal Type Tool to create your text
Step 2: Duplicate this text layer (Ctrl-J) and go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and set a radius of 4.2 pixels
Step 3: Double click on the current layer to bring up the Layer Style box and use these settings: + Outer Glow:
+ Inner Glow: 
+ Gradient Overlay: 
Now our text will look like this: 
Step 4: Choose the original text layer, in this case "smalltutorials" and duplicate it. This action will make our text brighter a bit. Flatten all the layers (by right click on the Background layer and choose Flatten Image) Step 5: Duplicate your image and change its Blending mode to Linear Dodge. The effect will pretty amazing: 
Finally I add a background which matches with this effect
