Neon Light
37NeonLight80x80 This tutorial will demonstrate how to use layer style effects to create a beautiful text, in this case a neon light text

Step 1: To begin, create a new document with black background and use the Horizontal Type Tool to create your text

37NeonLight1

Step 2: Duplicate this text layer (Ctrl-J) and go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and set a radius of 4.2 pixels

37NeonLight2

Step 3: Double click on the current layer to bring up the Layer Style box and use these settings:

        + Outer Glow:

37NeonLight3

       + Inner Glow:

37NeonLight4

       + Gradient Overlay:

37NeonLight5

Now our text will look like this:

37NeonLight6

Step 4: Choose the original text layer, in this case "smalltutorials" and duplicate it. This action will make our text brighter a bit. Flatten all the layers (by right click on the Background layer and choose Flatten Image)

Step 5: Duplicate your image and change its Blending mode to Linear Dodge. The effect will pretty amazing:

Finally I add a background which matches with this effect

And you have it, a neon light text. Good luck to you.
